  • To develop regional dialogues on sustainability, tolerance, diversity and peace.

The Core Programmes

  • Education/Public Awareness

Promotion of philanthropy: Through communication activities with the media, educational/religious institutes, conferences and workshops, publications and audio-visual-digital productions

  • Training

Training: Eg. Philanthropy in a Pluralistic/Multicultural Contexts, Indigenous Philanthropy, The Non-Profit Sector and Resource Mobilization, Promoting Regional Philanthropic Cooperation and Initiatives, CSR and the Triple Bottomline Initiative, Etc.

  • Research

Research: Eg. National and Regional Patterns of Giving, Taxation and Philanthropic Action, Religious, Indigenous and Cultural Philanthropy, Sustaining Giving, Comparative Studies on Philanthropy in Asian Societies, Strengthening Indigenous Forms of Giving, Etc.

  • Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)

To enhance corporate giving, to assist corporations to support ‘progressive forms of giving’. Specifically, combining ad hoc/organised charitable giving with social investment projects building social capital.

  • Policy Development

To advocate and assist in the development of policies that will promote and sustain a national and regional culture of giving for charity, social justice and social capital building through social investment.

  • Regional and International Networking

To promote regional groupings and networks in order to encourage dialogues on the role of philanthropy in strengthening pluralism/multiculralism, democracy, tolerance/celebration and peace.
